Congratulations! You guys made it to unlocked "Ultimate mode - Stretch goal". Here is the brief what you will get :

Ultimate Mode is a completely different way to play Simulation Theory, it directly integrates the story and history of the different Realities together with the gameplay. In Ultimate Mode, players need to complete various quests, unique to each Character, to gain treasure and Ascend to the next Reality.

Each turn, players also discover part of the story of Simulation Theory and can choose to take different actions towards one of four unique outcomes per Character.

We are designing the Ultimate Mode to be very replayable, due to the different player outcomes.

This mode will take a much longer amount of time to play than the casual or challenge mode – we estimate around 2 hours for a full game with players that are familiar with the other modes of Simulation Theory

What if everyone you know, loved, and remembered are just complex simulations in a computer-generated universe? What if you began to see through the shroud that separates what you think is your life from what is real? What if you wake up from this simulation, only to wonder if you are in another?

With multiple play modes for competitive, solo, or even cooperative play, what happens next is completely up to you. You can play the game in the standard Casual mode, the more complex Challenge mode, strategic Competitive mode, or the stretch goal based Ultimate mode, which will allow you to match wits against a litany of enemies. Compete with your friends in a race to ascend to the ultimate reality! Choose cooperative play to collaborate with your rivals or plot each others’ downfall. Or go solo and practice your skills at breaking out of the simulation.

The base game will include 3 realities, each with 5 unique characters. A 6th character per reality will be available as a stretch goal. Each of these characters has their own strengths and weakness plus a unique backstory which has a real impact in the Adventure mode.

Simulation Theory has three different modes of play. The "Classic Mode" is recommended for first time players and casual gamers.

The two other modes of the game provide a completely different experience: Challenge Mode (Asymmetric, For experienced gamers) , Competitive mode (Much more deterministic mode of the game, less random) and Ultimate Mode (Stretch goal) that provide a different way to play with branching quests for each character and deterministic gameplay. Directly integrates the story and history of the different Realities together with the gameplay

In Simulation Theory, cards are laid out on the main board in either a 5x4 grid (Classic and Challenge modes) or 5x5 grid (Competitive and Ultimate modes). Each turn, all players secretly choose a specific coordinate to influence.

The choices of all players are revealed at the same time. Sometimes, multiple players choose the same coordinate and must challenge each other before they can continue exploring the board. Use four unique traits (IQ, EQ, MQ, BQ) in order to defeat the challenges and your opponents. The player that first finds the exit card will 'Ascend' to the next reality, gaining access to a new set of challenge cards. After ascending, players become invincible in the previous reality if they decide to return. The game ends when one player has ascended all available realities.

Players will collect Victory Points by defeating challenges and ascending. The player with the most Victory points at the end of the game wins.

1st Reality - The Stone

Legend has it that millennia ago, a star fell from the heavens crashed into the world of Gaeus. It is said that this stone is imbued with such vast power that anyone that touches the stone would perish. Other stories claim that instead of dying from it’s touch, someone worthy would be able to wield it’s Godlike power. The stone was thought to be lost but has been rediscovered when a mighty quake cracked the earth asunder, revealing the ancient temple that was built around it.

A bloodthirsty warlord, said to be a demon wearing a man's flesh, is invading the lands of men in order to obtain the power that resides within the Stone. Champions from all over the world were given the dreams of the ancients, a sign that they are chosen to find the Stone, ascend to godhood and bring peace to Gaeus.

2nd Reality - The Prison

Prisoners are subjected to time dilation reality simulations in a privately owned supermax facilities - the inmates are involuntary brain research subjects.

A group of prisoners, who have inexplicably awoken from the simulations, have discovered that the mysterious warden of the prison is doing horrific surgeries and unspeakable procedures. Some of them are being tortured or worse by faceless guards. After waking up from the simulation, the first thing on every inmates' mind is escape.

3rd reality - The Ark

You are on a Genesis Ark, a mighty spacecraft, bound for a potential new home for humanity. However, an accident (or an act of sabotage) has caused catastrophic damage to the ship's systems.

The colonists are plugged into a virtual universe to keep their minds active while in stasis, but after the disaster simulation was modified to become competitive in nature. Instead of randomly selecting those who would survive, the virtual universe has instead evolved into a test to determine who has the merit to be selected.

Something is wrong. The planet is nearby but the purge to eliminate 90% of the colonists is still ongoing. Those who somehow awoke from the simulation have to get to the bridge and save the remaining hope for humanity.

You can play the game in 4 different modes.

Casual mode
Compete with other players to ascend through each reality and collect the most victory points.

Challenge mode
Team-up with or betray other players when you encounter them. Additional Environment Rules give you a different game experience each playthrough.

Competitive Mode
Much more deterministic mode of the game, with fixed treasures and it relies much more on the skill of the players than a lucky topdeck or discovery

Ultimate Mode
A different way to play with branching quests for each character and deterministic gameplay. Directly integrates the story and history of the different Realities together with the gameplay.
